Nancy Lucas has created GREENFIELDS in Duncan, Oklahoma, relocated East Coast trainer and after a 5-year stint in Southern California. Look for new facility photos in the near future. Nancy looks forward to offering her clients programs tailored to their individual needs and the needs of their horses. Nancy is an advocate of the horse first. She reiterates often, "a content horse that wants to please, is the reward of our hard work."
Nancy Lucas offers a full spectrum of training services for every level of experience, from the committed novice, to the advanced rider, specializing in Juniors, Adult Amateurs and young professionals. Her show schedules range from Schooling to 'AA' Shows.
Nancy approaches her training with a classical philosophy starting with dressage basics, emphasizing strong flatwork by first creating sound foundation. She teaches with a disciplined, yet lighthearted and positive manner, establishing an environment that is both fun and effective.
She keeps her client/horse number small and is very hands on, "I want the horses to know & trust me from the ground as well as undersaddle. I can't give the quality attention I would like if I have more than a handful horses/riders in training at one time." Preferring to work in quality, rather than quantity.
Nancy Lucas Training newly relocated in Duncan, Oklahoma at GREENFIELDS. Nancy is now available for training and coaching at her Duncan facility. Construction has finally reached a working facility level. We welcome visitors with a call ahead or an appointment preferrably. 580-475-4778 |

"Lena" is a sound TB mare with enormous talent and GORGEOUS movement. She is 15.3 hands, but takes up leg very well, even my 6'1" assistant looks fine on her, as you can see in the videos. The rider in the photos are 5'8". Lena is schooled in the classical manner, inside leg to outside rein. She is sensitive in the mouth and to the leg and seat, however she doesn't overreact with added pressure. She responds to change of weight in the saddle, however understands when a novice rider is in the saddle. She has beautiful ground coverage, cadence and is easily collected or extended in all three gaits. Lena has shown in the equitation and low jumper arenas as well, Lena trail rides well with other horses. She is darling on the ground, a soft, warm eye and bonds easily. Her owner wants to show in the larger jumpers, so Lena is sadly for sale as they cannot afford two horses. More video's on youtube.com/nancyltraining. SOLD |
