Nancy Lucas Training located at Tanya Jenkins Performance Horses facility, on DePortola Rd. in the beautiful Temecula Valley Wine Country, of Southern California. She offers her clients programs tailored to their individual needs and the needs of their horses. "A content horse that wants to please is the reward of our hard work."

Nancy Lucas, a relocated East Coast Trainer, offers a full spectrum of training services for every level of experience, from the committed novice, to the advanced rider, specializing in Juniors and Adult Amateurs. Her show schedules range from 'County' to 'AA' Circuit.

Nancy approaches Hunter, Jumper and Equitation training with a classical philosophy in dressage basics, emphasizing strong flatwork by first creating sound foundation. She teaches with a disciplined, yet lighthearted and positive manner, establishing an environment that is both fun and effective. Nancy has also proven to be able to work through special issues with rider/horse partnership; fear, trust and setting boundaries in a firm yet fair manner. ALWAYS regarding the horses needs with highest consideration.

GSDHJA Finals at Del Mar Fairgrounds 10/28 - 11/1/09

Kate McComas and Weydenson rode very well in her SJ 3.0' and SJ 3'.6" rounds Tuesday.

Caitlin Hendricks showed true sportsmanship when Dan Delaney had to be scratched from the show due to being off with no improvement. We are confident that the pair will be back for the 2010 season.

Shannon Mulcahy and her large pony partner April, finished out their season with an initial score of 72 in her Low Childrens Classic, sending her in as top 5 for the 2nd Round (21st out of 63 riders). Shannon and Aprils' course was a little too quick, which dropped their score to an average 68.5. It was a real treat to see such a nice ride in this division for her farewell show days on her pony. She will be seen on a new horse for the 2010 season.

Erin Mulcahy rode April in the Walk Trot Pleasure and pinned an 8th (out of 16 riders). We hope to set this pair up to be competitors in next seasons WT Divisions.

GSDHJA Pacific Coast HS Finals at Del Mar Fairgrounds 10/09

Kate McComas rode very well at her first show with NLT. On"Midas Eyes" they pulled in three 1st's and a 2nd in her Baby Green Division earning the CHAMPION position. They went on to ride a second set of CHAMPION rounds in their 2'6" Hunter Division, with two 1st places, a 4th and 2nd place. They earned an 8th in the 2' Hunter Hack as well. On "Weydenson", Kate successfully rode the 3' Jumpers on Friday evening earning a 4th and a 7th place, you can see them on our youtube page, www.youtube.com/nancyltraining.

"April" ridden by Shannon Mulcahy was CHAMPION in the Hunter Pleasure Div., they received 4th in the Low Hunters U/S class, a hard earned 4th in her GSDHJA 2'6" Medal class, and an 4th in the 2' Hunter Hack Championship class.

Caitlin Hendricks riding 'Dan Delaney' earned a 1st place in her Open Equitation Flat, a 6th place in GSDHJA 3' Medal and a 3rd in the Open Equitation Flat Championship...Well done!!!

Nicole Bell on "April" won her Lead Line on Friday afternoon and received 1st and Champion on Sunday morning. Congratulations!

SCHS Horse Show at Vista 9/27

Caitlin Hendricks on "Dan Delaney" had a productive day winning her Limit Eq. Flat, 4th in Open Eq. Flat, WON her GSDHJA Medal Flat, received 3rd in Open Eq. O/F and in the GSDHJA Medal 3' placed 2nd. Katie Johnson on "Al Dente" earned a 4th place in the Limit Eq. and a 7th in the Open Eq. Flat. Dante had an upset stomach so they made a pre-mature exit back to the farm. Both are fine and getting ready for our next show.

VICTORY at The Oaks 8/09

Shannon Mulcahy and April her Welsh Cross large pony, earned a 2nd Place in the GSDHJA Mini Medal and a 3rd Place in the GSDHJA Mini Medal on Sunday also a 3rd Place in the Pony Equitation U/S. Shannons' warm-up round is on www.youtube.com/nancyltraining.com

Katie Johnson on Al Dente at their 1st Show together rode well placing 3rd, 6th and 4th in the Children's Hunters O/F and 3rd in the Children's U/S classes. Katie also earned a 3rd in the GSDHJA Mini Medal and a 2nd in the Sunday Mini Medal class.

Congratulations Katie Johnson on Bellevia, earning a Reserve Champion with a 1st Place in the Green Rider Hunter U/S, 3rd in the Hunter O/F and a 7th place in the Green Rider Hunter O/F

Sydney Underhill on My Pride and Joy, did very well with a 3rd Place in the Long Stirrup Eq. Flat, 8th in the Long Stirrup Hunters, 8th place in the Long Stirrup Hunter U/S.
